On today's episode of #toolschool we're talking about gallery walls: I don't think I'll ever be over gallery walls. No matter their size, shape, or style, they never disappoint me. I love how much personality they have. I love that they can be perfectly symmetrical and organized, or relaxed and eclectic. No matter your style, the one thing you need when creating a gallery wall is balance. Continue reading on Curbly.com Via https://www.curbly.com/gallery-wall

Each room of your home serves a specific purpose. The kitchen exists to nourish. The living room is there for relaxation. The dining room, for fellowship. And we don't need to go into the details of what the bathroom is for. But arguably the most important room of your home is the bedroom. It's your sanctuary, your safe space. It's the place where you go to lie unconscious for 6-8 hours in order to function properly as a human being! Since the bedroom's purpose is so different from that of the other rooms in the house, this room deserves a different set of rules. And there's one rule that a lot of us are guilty of breaking every day: No technology in the bedroom. Via https://www.curbly.com/technology-free-bedroom Today we've got an awesome Home Depot #toolschool giveaway for you guys! Over the years we've had the opportunity to do a ton of projects using tools from Dremel; everything from rotary tools, oscillating tools, saws, soldering irons, burning and etching tools, cleaning products ... you name it. So this month, we thought it'd be fun to share some of these goodies with you guys! Scroll down for the details onContinue reading on Curbly.com Via https://www.curbly.com/dremel-tools-giveaway Now that I have a little one to care for, I’ve come to realize just how wonderful story time can be. Sharing books with Lauren is one of my favorite pastimes… especially the books that I used to read when I was a kid (those are my favorites!). Of course, with a well-stocked bookshelf comes the need for some nice bookends to hold everything in place. So I decided to whip up these pretties for bubba’s room, and they’re so easy to make, I just had to share these DIY mountain bookends with you too! Via https://www.curbly.com/diy-mountain-bookends These days, no party is complete without a diy photo booth. They're not only a fun addition to any shindig, but they're a great way to capture memories and they create the most meaningful party favors in the world. While renting an old-timey booth or hiring a company to run one are both nice options, they cost a pretty penny. The reality is, creating a custom photo booth using the electronics most of us already have around the house (e.g. your computer, digital camera, printer, phone) isn't very complicated. In fact, it's relatively straightforward. And, when you combine the "photo taking device" with some custom photo props or easy DIY backgrounds, your photo booth becomes the life of the party. Follow along as we share everything you need to know about creating a custom diy photo booth for the party of your dreams! Via https://www.curbly.com/diy-photo-booth-guide Hello, and happy Valentine's Day! Okay, it's not quite the big day yet, but February 14th is just days away, and I'm totally ready to celebrate. Ever since the Christmas holiday ended, I've been itching for an excuse to decorate, party, craft - whatever! I wanted to make some cards featuring some of my favorite gals throughout history (some are good, some are bad!), and the captions kind of wrote themselves after that. Click through for these printable valentines! Via https://www.curbly.com/printable-valentines-badass-women With Valentine's Day just around the corner, it's time to start making plans. Nothing screams Valentine's Day quite like conversation hearts. They're colorful, they're graphic, and they say something (sorta) meaningful in ten characters or less. But, they taste kinda icky, so this year, I'm combing the classic conversation heart with something we all actually want to eat: chocolate. Via https://www.curbly.com/make-it-conversation-heart-chocolate-boxes I like to re-invent and create things around my home. And I like to do so inexpensively and with my own little flair. So today, I have a low cost, simple and organic recipe for DIY Lip Balm. My hubby and I go through inordinate amount of lip balm. And at $3 a tube, it was beginning to add up. I wanted to find a way that I could circumvent the cost, the unnecessary added chemicals and the need for store-bought lip balm. For approximately $.25 a tube, I had my very own lip balm without the chemicals. Via https://www.curbly.com/diy-lip-balm Valentine's Day is almost here! The older I get, the more sentimental I become - meaning I really enjoy February 14th. I understand that it's a silly holiday, but it feels sillier to hate on a holiday that's all about love. That being said, I don't think it's necessary to spend a gross amount of money on dinner, flowers, and gifts in order to have a great time with your partner. The whole fancy dinner thing is a little played out. There are far better ways to celebrate love and make memories with your significant other. Here are 82 different date ideas that don't involve making last-minute dinner reservations. Via https://www.curbly.com/date-ideas-valentines-day I love working with flowers. Fresh or fake, they just make me happier. While not all of us have a green thumb (I am not declaring I do as I am still struggling to keep my plants alive), paper flowers are the easiest way to enjoy some new blooms and keep them around far longer than a few days. And you can learn how to make paper roses in a matter of minutes! So hunker down with that hot glue gun and let's get to work. Via https://www.curbly.com/paper-roses |
